Accessibility
Version 1.0 · Last updated:
This statement describes the accessibility of the Ethere website, dashboard, and chat widget (together, the "Service"). It is written to be checkable rather than reassuring: the measures below are implemented in the running Service, and the limitations section states plainly what is not yet met. Ethere treats the accessibility requirements for e-commerce services under the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) as applicable to the Service, and uses EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA as the standard against which the Service is built.
How the Service is built
Every page carries semantic headings and landmarks, so assistive technology can move through the page by structure rather than by eye. The interface is operable by keyboard: interactive elements are real buttons and links, focus is visible on every one of them, and a "skip to main content" link is offered at the top of each page. Text alternatives are provided for icons and images that carry meaning, form fields carry labels, and status changes are announced. Ethere honours the operating system's reduced-motion preference and does not rely on colour alone to convey state. Pages reflow when zoomed, and the interface is available in five languages. This statement itself is reachable from every page's footer and from the legal register.
Known limitations
Ethere states these limits rather than leaving them to be found:
- the downloadable HTML and plain-text copies of the legal documents, offered for archival purposes, do not carry the styling or the navigation of the live pages;
- payment details are entered into Stripe's own components, which are outside Ethere's control — Stripe publishes its own accessibility information;
- the chat widget runs inside the customer's own website, so its accessibility also depends on the page that embeds it, a page Ethere does not author; and
- Ethere has not commissioned an independent accessibility audit, and makes no claim of certification. Where an audit is commissioned, its findings will be published here.
Reporting a barrier
If any part of the Service is a barrier, report it to support@ethere.cloud, stating what was attempted, where, and with which assistive technology or browser. Ethere acknowledges the report and answers with what was found and what will change.
