What is Ethere?
An AI assistant for your online store. It answers your shoppers’ questions — products, shipping, returns, policies — from your store’s own knowledge, in your brand voice.
What does it cost?
E1 is €89 a month, E2 €169, E3 €289. No hidden fees, cancel anytime. Every new store starts with a free week on E1 — no card required.
Do I need to connect my store platform?
No. Ethere answers from what you add yourself: describe your business and paste your policies and FAQs. A Shopify or WooCommerce connection is recommended from E2 up — the assistant can then look up live product and stock details from your catalogue.
Which languages does Ethere answer in?
The language your shopper writes in — Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Russian, or English — drawn from your own content.
Can I control what the assistant says?
Yes. You set the name, greeting, tone, system prompt, avatar, and colors. E3 adds advanced generation controls and removes the Ethere mark.
What happens when the assistant cannot answer?
You control both. Lead capture — where the assistant asks for an email — is set in Personalization. Human handoff — where a conversation is flagged for your team on the desk — is set in Organization settings. Each turns on and off independently.
Is my store’s data separate from other stores?
Yes. Each store’s knowledge, conversations, and settings are isolated at the database level — no other store can read them.
Getting started
How does Ethere work?
Ethere is an AI assistant for your store. You add your own knowledge — a description of the business, the policies and FAQs you write, and, from E2, files and a page to import — and the assistant answers your shoppers from that knowledge only, in the language they write in.
What do I need before I start?
An account and your store in your own words: what you sell, how you ship, how returns work, and the questions your customers ask most. A connection to Shopify or WooCommerce is optional and is recommended from E2 up.
Do I need a developer to install it?
No. Ethere gives you one script tag to place in your store theme, and the dashboard shows the exact snippet and where it goes. From E2 up, a Shopify or WooCommerce store can also be connected from the integrations page.
Does the assistant answer in my customers’ language?
Yes. The assistant replies in the language the shopper writes in, and the dashboard and the widget ship in English, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian and Russian.
How quickly is Ethere live on my store?
As soon as the widget script is on your store and your knowledge is added, the assistant answers. Nothing you add waits for approval. You can test the assistant from the dashboard at any time.
Plans and billing
What do the three plans include?
E1, E2 and E3 are monthly subscriptions. Each step up raises the monthly AI answers, the knowledge you can add, the team seats and the analytics depth. The pricing table lists every limit for every plan. Every plan keeps ten conversations per shopper, and the number of shoppers is unlimited.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new store starts with a free week on E1, with no card required, and a trial runs once per organization.
Do unused AI answers carry over?
No. The monthly allowance resets at each renewal and unused answers do not carry over. An answer served from Ethere’s cache does not consume the allowance.
What happens when the monthly answer limit is reached?
The assistant stops generating new answers for the rest of the billing period and tells the shopper it is unavailable right now, rather than leaving a question unanswered. The limit resets at the next renewal, and a higher plan raises it.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes. An upgrade applies from the subscription page. A downgrade reconciles every limit to the new plan at once, and anything that no longer fits — extra teammates, for example — is paused and marked for review until it is within the plan.
How do I cancel, and who can change billing?
Only the owner of the organization can start, change or cancel billing. Cancelling is done from the subscription page at any time. Payments are non-refundable.
What happens if my plan stops?
Ethere pauses for the organization: the widget stops answering and the dashboard asks for a plan. An account with no active subscription and no activity is scheduled for deletion seven days after its last activity — the dashboard shows the date, and subscribing clears it. A payment still being retried is not treated as ended for up to 30 days, and a paying organization is never removed.
How is an AI answer counted?
One freshly generated answer counts, per organization, and the count resets at each renewal. A reply that only asks a shopper for an email does not count, and neither does one served from Ethere’s cache.
Knowledge and answers
Where do the answers come from?
Only from the knowledge you add to your own store: the description of your business, the sources you write, the files you upload, the page you import — and, on a connected store, live catalogue lookups. The assistant is instructed to answer from that knowledge alone and to say plainly when it does not have the answer.
What can I add to the knowledge base?
A description of your business, written sources for policies and FAQs, files such as size guides or manuals, and a page to import. What each plan allows is listed on the pricing table and on the knowledge page of the dashboard.
Does the assistant invent answers?
No. Answers are grounded in your knowledge and in the sources retrieved for the question. When the knowledge does not cover something, the assistant says so and offers to pass the conversation to your team instead of guessing.
How do I keep the knowledge current?
Edit a source and the assistant uses the new text immediately. On E3, Ethere collects the questions it could not answer and suggests knowledge to add, and syncs your store’s pages from your website URL. A connected Shopify or WooCommerce store is read live, so catalogue changes need no import.
Is the knowledge shared with other stores?
No. Your knowledge belongs to your organization and is isolated at the database level. It answers your shoppers only, and it is not used to train general-purpose models.
Store integrations
Which platforms does Ethere connect to?
Shopify and WooCommerce. A connection is available from E2 up; on E1 the assistant answers from the knowledge you add yourself.
What does connecting a store give the assistant?
The assistant can look up live details from your catalogue — a product, its variants and its stock — instead of only the policies you wrote. Order and customer lookups stay on the signed-in desk, where your team works.
What is whole-store sync?
On E3, Ethere syncs the whole store from your website URL — every page that allows bots and AI crawlers — so changes are picked up instead of importing one page at a time.
The desk and your team
What is the desk?
The desk is where your team sees live conversations. Every chat the assistant handles appears there, and a conversation that needs a person can be taken over and answered by a teammate.
How does a shopper reach a human?
A shopper can ask for a person at any time — the widget shows “Talk to a human” unless you turn that off — and the assistant offers to escalate when it cannot help. The conversation is then flagged in the desk for your team to take over.
How many teammates can I add?
E1 includes you and one teammate, E2 you and three, and E3 you and ten. The owner is counted separately from those seats.
What can each teammate do?
The owner manages the organization and billing, admins manage teammates and settings, agents work the desk and the knowledge, and viewers read without changing anything.
What analytics does Ethere provide?
E1 shows the analytics overview, E2 adds answer quality, the top three questions and the busiest hours, and E3 opens the full suite. Conversations are kept for seven days, while the daily totals — conversation counts, leads, deflection and response times — are kept for a year, so long-range trends stay exact.
Privacy, security and data
Is my store’s data separate from other stores?
Yes. Every organization’s data is isolated in PostgreSQL itself: row-level security is enabled and forced on every tenant table, and the application’s database role cannot bypass it. Deletion and export are anchored to your own identity in the same way.
Where is the data stored?
Ethere’s own data is stored on infrastructure in the European Union — Hetzner, in Germany.
Who processes the data?
Mistral AI (France) generates the answers and embeddings, Resend delivers transactional email, Stripe processes payments, Cloudflare provides the CDN, the firewall and the anti-abuse check, and Hetzner hosts the servers. The Subprocessors page lists each one, what it does and where it processes.
Is my content used to train AI models?
No. Your content and your shoppers’ personal data are not used to train or fine-tune general-purpose or foundation models.
How long is data kept?
Conversations and messages are deleted seven days after the last activity in them. Each shopper keeps at most ten conversations with a store: starting another replaces the oldest first. The widget’s visitor identifier and engagement events are deleted after 30 days, while the identifier-free daily totals are kept for 12 months. Security-event logs are kept for 180 days and login attempts for 30 days. The Privacy Policy lists every period.
Does the widget use cookies or track visitors?
The widget sets no tracking cookies. Engagement analytics use a single random visitor token, without cookies, fingerprinting or cross-site identifiers, and the widget keeps its own state in your browser’s local storage. Ethere’s own pages load no third-party tracking scripts.
Does Ethere hold a security certification?
Ethere holds no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification and has no third-party penetration-test report to offer. The Security page states the measures Ethere applies, and what Ethere does not claim, so the limits are known before a security review rather than during one.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. The dashboard exports your account or organization data at any time, and deleting an account deletes its data, subject to the limited backup-rotation exception in the Terms of Service.
