Subprocessors
Version 1.0 · Last updated:
This list belongs to Ethere's data-processing terms (Terms of Service, Section 18). It names every provider that can touch personal data while Ethere runs the Service, what each one does, and where it processes data. Each provider processes personal data only as needed to deliver its service to Ethere, and Ethere remains responsible for its performance. Where a provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is made under the Standard Contractual Clauses together with a transfer risk assessment.
Infrastructure providers
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany, European Union) — hosting and infrastructure for Ethere's servers: the database, the application servers, and the local backup copy.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States; the transfer is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses) — domain name service, content delivery, web application firewall, bot management, and the Turnstile anti-abuse check on Ethere's public forms. Cloudflare handles request data, including IP addresses, for traffic to ethere.cloud. For the Turnstile check Cloudflare also acts as an independent controller when it uses the collected signals to improve its own bot detection.
Processors
- Mistral AI (France, European Union) — generates the AI responses and the knowledge-base embeddings. It receives the shopper's message, the prompts, and the store knowledge needed to answer the question.
- Resend (United States; the transfer is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses) — delivers transactional email: account verification, password reset, two-factor authentication, invitations, and notifications.
- Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Ireland; Stripe, Inc., United States — the transfer is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses) — payment processing, subscription billing, and invoicing. Payment details are entered into Stripe's own components; Ethere never stores full card details.
Self-hosted components
PostgreSQL and Redis run on Ethere's own servers inside the Hetzner infrastructure above. They are part of the Service, not third-party processors.
Customer-controlled platforms
When a customer connects a store, Ethere calls that platform's API on the customer's instructions — Shopify or WooCommerce. Those platforms are chosen and controlled by the customer rather than by Ethere, and the customer remains responsible for its own relationship with them.
Not currently enabled
Ethere also maintains optional error monitoring (Sentry). It is not enabled on the production Service today, and this page will name it before it processes any personal data.
Changes to this list
Ethere is the party that decides which processors to use, and remains responsible for them. Before Ethere adds or replaces a processor, Ethere publishes the change on this page and gives customers notice so that they can object on reasonable data-protection grounds, as set out in Section 18(d) of the Terms of Service.
